HMLA is the Daughter of two young engineers, Isam Ashour and Riyadh Sakkijha. When they met together in their little home town in 1994, they had a dream to create jobs when there were no jobs, and felt the need to challenge the monopoly of a handful of large scale corporations that dominated market back then. They started their first company, EG (The Engineering Group).
The EG brought together a group of experienced and talented people who were motivated to demonstrate their best in the engineering services market in an inspired and fun environment. They met every evening, presented problems, shared ideas and developed solutions. For seven years, the EG was like a little life-boat in a sea of large ships. At times, the boat found itself in rough waters, and the big ship about to swallow it, but surely and carefully navigated its way to the shores of safety maintaining its integrity and excellence.

When the founders of the EG moved back to the United States HMLA Group was due to be born. HMLA is now an established professional estimating and engineering services founded by President, Riyadh Sakkijha in May of 2005. Our offices are located in Long Island, NY. HMLA Group is well known for its outstanding reputation due to its involvement in various types of projects, and in the diverse field of construction. Through hard work and more than 17 years of experience in the construction world, HMLA Group has acquired skills in all types of construction. We have displayed second-to-none estimating and engineering service in train stations, power stations, bridges and roads and government institutions, SCA schools, commercial projects including hotels and hospitals, private construction, multi-unit and high-rise buildings. We have a long and excellent engineering services portfolio in new construction, demolition, renovations, interior and exterior works, wood works, stone, masonry, and concrete work, underground services and storm-water works, electrical, mechanical and plumbing, and H.V.A.C. works.
